Chapter 3:  Help!

 

“I’ll help you!” said the knight.

 

“Not if I can help it!” said the giant in a loud, deep voice.

 

The knight asked “What can the giant not do?”

 

“He cannot see through fire,” she said.  “Semore is a fire-breathing dragon so he can breathe out fire into the giant’s face and I can open the cage for you.”

 

“Okay,” said the princess.  “I think the giant is hungry.”

An hour later the giant was eating bacon and French fries for dinner.  Some bacon grease slipped down his shirt but the knight did not know.  

 

They went on their mission for the princess.
